The (one and only) Testical Festival does it again!
The one and only Chesney Hawkes wowed the crowd on Saturday night at Taunton Racecourse. The small festival in aid of local Testicular Cancer charity It’s in the Bag is growing and was blessed with a beautiful sunny day. Local bands The Twice Dailies, Twisted Vinyl, Bandantree and The Secret Police to name a few got toes tapping and people up dancing til late in the day. As the sun set over the Blackdown Hills Chesney Hawkes and his band completed the party in style. Compere for the day was Tone FM’s very own Steve Carpenter, BBQ chefs gave us some fantastic ribs and the bar supplied by Brambles Bar (The Globe Frampton Cotterall).
Organisers Sue Brand and Lloyd Williams were very pleased with the steady growth of the event and look to repeat it next year:
This weekend we were spoilt by the weather making it an extra pleasure for those who attended. We sold over £1,000 of our merchandise, which aims to remind young men to check their testicles monthly. It was also fantastic to see so many survivors at the event too and we hope that the steady growth of this event continues. We are always thankful for our fantastic volunteers, the generosity of the bands, suppliers and sponsors. Roll on 2019!
