4th Testicular Ball

The 4th Testicular Ball 2013 was a great success where we all celebrated and thanked our Superheroes – volunteers, patrons, supporters and men who have survived the disease.

At last year’s Ball we celebrated our fundraisers and the money raised not only allowed us to expand our support activities and the Living Well courses in association with Penny Brohn Cancer Care, but also to invest in our awareness campaigns and attend events such as Grillstock and Fresher’s Fair at UWE. This year our Superhero Ball was a way to celebrate those who go above and beyond the call of duty, none more so than Patrick O’Leary and Christopher Penelhum who unfortunately lost their battle this year and to recognise their commitment to It’s in the Bag.

This brilliant lively evening was sponsored by local insurance company, Go Skippy, raising £13,500 to boost the support the charity fund is able to offer men and their families diagnosed with testicular cancer across the South West.

Sue Brand It’s in the Bag Chairman, commented:

“This was our fourth year for this truly wonderful annual event attended by our regular supporters, patients and staff, but this year we also had the bonus of our patrons Paul Oz, Paul Hembury and Louis Carey and our event sponsor, the team at Go Skippy”.

Alan Ball, Managing Director, Go Skippy Insurance would like to add:

“We are really pleased to have been able to get behind such a worthwhile cause and at the same time demonstrate support for our colleague here at Go Skippy who is currently undergoing treatment for testicular cancer.”
