Bristol 10k Awareness Run 2014

The weather was a bit overcast with a bit of drizzle in the air and a gusty breeze blowing through the centre as our posse of runners congregated outside Bristol Cathedral on College Green proudly donning their orange and pink Keep Calm tops as the Heart Angels came round taking a few pre-race photos.

Sue & Bill Brand were there to support all of our runners and commented “They were bright and cheerful in their orange and pink shirts. At the start our fresh faced runners were full of verve when running up Anchor Road, we cheered them on and got some waves and smiles back. The camera took some wonderful shots of those with something to prove, something to achieve. On the home straight the KEEP CALM logo came through and there were some wonderful comments from the crowd. Some found it exhausting and a step too far, but all finished the run with heads held high. It was cold and damp, but not the It’s in the Bag runners, full of smiles and warmth as they completed the course. They definitely Kept Calm and Carried on!”

A huge thank you and congratulations to everyone who ran in our shirts to raise awareness of both It’s in the Bag and testicular cancer, also thank you to those who came out in the cold to support them and to everyone who sponsored our them.
