Grillstock 2014

On the weekend of 7th & 8th June 2014 the It’s in the Bag team attended their second Meat, Music & Mayhem weekend and this time we handed out over 8,000 awareness and self examination cards – 3,000 more than last year!

Our team of amazing volunteers all worked hard to promote the importance of testicular self examination whilst selling our unique pants branded merchandise – many pairs of IITB pants were to be seen dancing both on and in-front of the stage by the end of the weekend (massive thanks to Hayseed Dixie!).

Of course no Grillstock festival would be complete without plenty of food and everyone enjoyed some fabulous BBQ’d meat from all corners of the globe along with some delicious desserts (the crepes from the van next to us were particularly good!). We helped instigate some mayhem courtesy of Nuts who made an appearance and even went on the bucking bronco before entertaining the crowds with his dancing skills.

People came in their thousands to the harbourside to eat, drink and be merry and of course to enjoy the incredible band line up on all 3 stages – with Fun Lovin Criminals headlining Saturday and Hayseed Dixie headlining Sunday along with sets by the one and only man of reggae Levi Roots and the extremely popular Seasick Steve to name just a few, who could blame them. Although the rain came just like last year it did not dampen spirits and the crowd appreciated our ponchos! We can’t wait for next year…
