Pole Essence Charity Showcase

On November 22nd 2014 local pole fitness company Pole Essence had their annual Charity Showcase and generously nominated It’s in the Bag as their benefactor.

Company owner Sam Smith’s husband Graham has had testicular cancer and they have both received support from It’s in the Bag. They wanted a way to give something back and so Sam put us forward as her nomination as the recipient for this years event and we are proud to say that we won the vote! The showcase is an annual event which gives the girls of Pole Essence the chance to showcase their skills, tricks, stunts and expertise on the pole to their family and friends whilst raising money for the nominated charity.

We were invited along to be a part of the night and have to say it was one of our favourite events which we have ever had the pleasure of attending – the atmosphere and entertainment were second to none, including Graham’s amazing if somewhat misunderstood comedic compere skills!

Over the course of the night they managed to smash their target and raise an amazing £2,225 for us – which will pay for a Penny Brohn residential course for up to 12 patients.

Thank you to everyone who attended but most importantly to Sam and the Pole Essence girls for putting on an amazing night.

You can view the photos from the night on our Flickr page here.
