The (one and only) Testical Festival dances in the moonlight
This year’s festival had a glorious sunshine feel as the blue skies and beautiful surroundings of Taunton Racecourse provided a magnificent backdrop to the day and to the bands who once again, supported the charity event very kindly.
Headliners Toploader played out the event to a very enthusiastic audience, who had also enjoyed sets from local bands The Leylines, Twisted Vinyl, Heat Patrol and Bandantree. The line up was completed with some excellent emerging talent from Huish College opening the festival and an excellent Elvis tribute which managed to span 60 years of music in as many minutes.
This year the festival wanted to go green (er) and introduced re-usable beer cups and Jute bags for merchandise. This was to replace the single use plastic cups of previous years and plastic bags. They were so successful; they are still available and can be purchased from the It’s in the Bag shop. The onsite shop sold a whopping £1,570 on the shop which will go some way to continue to raise awareness and encourage early detection.
The charity would like to thank everyone who came over the weekend and to all the bands. They created a great atmosphere, no doubt helped by the fabulous sunshine that accompanied the event.
