Partnership in Focus: GoSkippy Insurance

“GoSkippy has a policy of allocating a sizeable sum of money each year for charity and we are supporting It’s in the bag as a direct result of one of our young team members being open about his recent diagnosis of testicular cancer. We kicked off our support last year by sponsoring It’s In the Ball – the charity’s annual event at the Thistle Grand – and have enjoyed an ongoing working relationship with the IITB team; a fun, proactive and forward thinking group. We see this as a way of actively demonstrating support for our colleague.” – Alan Ball, Managing Director, GoSkippy Insurance

Lewis Short, 22yrs, employee GoSKippy:
“I was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer in February this year after feeling unwell for several months. The company could not have been more supportive through my treatment and the team’s active financial involvement with this event has really meant a lot to me and obviously to the other testicular cancer patients and their families.”

Sponsoring The Annual Ball at The Thistle Grand – raising £15,000.
Creating a Supporters Banner which has been on display at the GoSkippy offices in Bristol and at events.
Running a Skippy Cuddly Toy competition at the event.
Providing PR Support including preview and review release to local press.
Running a competition in the Evening Post to win tickets to the annual event.
Providing Meeting room facilities to the IITB team.

Skippy Fan Club:
The great thing is that the company has a similar ethos to ours – shout about your business and have fun doing it…….
…… so part of our support includes featuring the charity on the Skippy Fan Club. The Fan Club was set up both for those old enough to remember Skippy the Bush Kangaroo and for those who are curious. The club demonstrates the ‘fun’ personality of our brand with games, competitions, even old episodes from the original series: a great place for the IITB charity to be seen by a wider audience.
